That the Secretary of the Treasury be, and he is hereby, §Yg§*,fQ}§d,Q'g;"“· authorized and directed to acquire, by purchase, condemnation, or PM p- 429. _ otherwise, a site in the city of Wheeling and State of West Virginia, and to contract for the erection and completion thereon of a suitable tireproof building., including fireproof vaults, heating and ventilating apparatus, elevators, and approaches, complete, for the use and accommodation of the United States st-office, court-house, and customhouse and other governmental oihges in said city, at a limit of cost for Limit Oi wit said site and building of four hundred thousand dollars, hereby fixed. lVhen said building is completed and occupied by the United States S*ii€<>i<>i,€35Sm¤¤* °i ized and directed to cause the post—ofiice and court-house building at p mg' Macon, Georgia, to be extended and enlarged so as to provide necessary accommodations for the post-office, courts, and other branches of the Government service, and to purchase additional ground on Third Ad*ii*i‘>¤¤i¤i¤¤¤‘i~ and Mulberry streets, in his discretion, for this purpose, and that the total cost of all said improvements, changes, and repairs, including the purchase price of such additional ground, shall not exceed the sum of one hundred and fifty-six thousand dollars: Provided, That the {;"g;,Q'*;,(_0_t limit of cost of such additional land shall not exceed thirty-one thou- ° ' sand dollars.” Sec. 13. When said i commission has acquired a site in said city, as herein provided, the commission shall make a report to Congress, stating the location, dimensions, and cost of the same, and recommend to Congress the character and size of a building that should be erected upon said site and state the probable cost of such a building, including fireproof vaults, heating and ventilating apparatus, and approaches.
