C oe u Y d.A,em’ WHEREAS, it is provided in the Act of Congress approved March mano. 3, 1893, entitled "An Act Making appropriations for sudry civil ex- $§§{“§‘·Rl‘;_ 593. penses of the Government for the fiscal year ending June thirtieth, eighteerrhundred and ninety-four, and for other purposes ", “That the President is hereby authorized by proclamation to withhold from g sale and grant for public use to the municipal corporation in which the same is situateél all or any portion of any abandoned military reservation not excee ing twenty acres in one place ” And, Whereas, the Fort Sherman Military reservation at Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, created by Executive orders of August 25, 1879, and April 22, 1880, and enlarged by Executive orders of May 26, 1891, and February 2, 1892, and containing 902.21 acres, more or less, was by Executive order of October 5, 1900, placed under the custody of the Interior Department for disposal under the act of July 5, 1884, being ven. 23, p. 103. "An Act To prowide for the disposal of abandoned and useless military reservations And, 1Vhereas, the citizens of the town of Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, have petitioned that a portion of the said reservation be granted to tge Munipipal ihuthorities of the town of Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, for t e use o a pu ic cemetery agp?
