3]86 PROCLAMATIONS, 1905. , Proclamation, of which the officers and citizens of the United States A¤‘¤¤!¢¤ ¤¤¢°*°d· will take due notice, namely: _ _ v°‘· 3**- P- 2“‘· Upon argols, or crude tartar, or wine lees, crude, five per centum ad valorem. _ _ Upon brandies, or other spirits manufactured or d1st11led from grain or other materials, one dollar and seventy-five cents per proof gallon. _ » V l Upon still wines, and vermuth, in casks, thirty-five cents per gal- - · lon; in bottles or jugs, per case of one dozen bottles or jugs containing each not more than one quart and more than one pmt, or twenty- i four bottles or jugs containing each not more than one pint, one dol- 1 lar and twenty-five cents per case, and any excess eyond these quantities found in such bottles or jugs shall be subject to a duty of . four cents per pint or fractional part thereof, but_ no separate or ad- _ ditional duty shall be assessed upon the bottles or jugs. _ Upon paintings in oil or water colors, pastels, pen and mk drawings, and statuary, fifteen per centum ad valorem. V°'· 30, P- 3** fourth, eighteen hundred and ninety-seven. entitled, "An act making appropriations for sundry civil expenses of the Government for the fiscal year ending June thirtieth. eighteen hundred and ninety-eight, . and for other purposes ", that " the President is hereby authorized at any time to modify any Executive order that has been or may hereafter be made establishing any forest reserve, and by such inodification may reduce the area or change the boundary lines of such reserve, or may vacate altogether any order creating such reserve "; And whereas,'it appears that the public good would be promoted by further enlarging the said forest reserve to include certain additional lands in the States of Utah and Wyoming, which are in part covered with timber: mpcegndnries ¤¤· Now. therefore, I, Theodore Roosevelt, President of the United gStates, by virtue of the power in me vested by the aforesaid Act of Congress, approved June fourth. eighteen hundred and ninety-seven. do proclaim that the aforesaid Uintah Forest Reserve is herebv further enlarged to include the said additional lands. and that the boundaries of the reserve are. accordingly, now as shown on the , diagram forming a part hereof;
