That the Secretary of the Treasury be, and he is hereby, gggbugkvgmt authorized and empowered in lieu of making additions to the present nnuiaingugis xg: new Federal building at Lynchburg, Virginia, authorizatioufor which has “‘§‘};,,_,,,,,pp_ ,,-5, 1,,,,,, heretofore been made, to_ acquire a new Federal building site in the cit? of Lynchburg,‘V1rgima, by the exchangp of the present post- 0 ce and court-house building and the site ereof in said city for a portion of the land and improvements thereon belonging to the city of Lynchburg, commonly known as the warehouse property, havinga 1>¤¤¤riv¢i¤¤· frontage of one hundred and sixty-five feet on Church street and one hundred and thirty-two feet on Tenth street, and to execute the necessary conveyances therefor to said cimimn the payment to the United States by said city of a sum not less n seventy thousand dollars, and the furnishing, free of cost to the United States, of such abstracts, official certifications, evidences of title, and deeds of conveyance as, in the opinion of the Attorney-General, may be necessary to vest in the United States a good and valid title to said property.
