MISCELLANEOUS; For rent of stable, one hundred and twenty dollars. $¤*>*¢ me For the enforcement of the provisions of an Act to prevent the °°“` gpread of contagious diseases in the District of Columbia, approved gf- P·g§— arch third, eig teen hundred and ninety-seven, and an Act ilor the ’p' ` prevention of scarlet fever, diphtheria, measles, whoopin cough, chicken pox, epidemic cerebrospinal meningitis, and typhoid; fever in the District of Columbia, approved February ninth, nineteen hundred .and seven, and an Act to provide for registration of all cases of tmTt¤g>¤~¤1¤¤i¤ we tuberculosis in the District_ of Columbia, for free examination of ·Voll]$6,p.126. sputum in suspected cases, and for preventing the spread of tuberculosis in said District, approved May thirteenth, nineteen hundred and eight, under the direction of the health oflieer of said District, and for the prevention of other communicable diseases, including salaries or compensation for personal services not exceeding fifteen thousand dollars when ordered in writing by the commissioners and necessary for the enforcement and execution of said Acts, purchase H°"°‘·"°¥°"“· °‘°~ and mamtenance of necessary horses, wagons, and harness, rent of stables, purchase of reference books and medical joumals, and maintenance of quarantine station and smallpox hospital, twenty-four thousand five hundred dollars: Provided, That any bacteriologist §',$§Q‘gb,m,c_, EL em loyed and paid under this appropriation may be assigned by the ¤mi¤¤¤<>¤¤ of milk, heallth officer to the bacteriologcal examination of milk and of other °°°° dairy products and of the water supplies of dairy farms, whether such examinations be or be not directly related to contagious diseases.
