 148.-An Act For the relief of the King Coal Company, of San Francisco,  

California. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives cj the United Km States of America in Congress assembled, That the claim of the King M, g(;l`},’lQ,°°§E,*}°°;i,’; . . . Y 8 Coal Comlpan , of San Francisco, Califorma, owner of the barge Ruth, 2g§‘,§_%°’ *° b*“'¤° against the Urnited States for damages all ed to have been caused by collision between the said barge and thedjnited States submarine R—19 in San Francisco Harbor, may be sued for b the said King Coal Com any in the District Court of the United States for the mrsneaoncrmm. Northern 1District of California, sitting! as a court of admiralty and acting under the rules governing suc court, and said court shall have jurisdiction to hear and determine such suit and to enter a judgment or decree for the amount of such dam es and costs, if any, as shall be found to be due against the Unitzd States in favor of the King Coal Company, or against the King Coal Company in favor of the United States upon the same principles and measures of liability as in like cases in admiralty between private parties and _ with the same rights of agpealz Provided, That such notice of the §{,‘fi"f,',,'f‘,g,c_ suit shall be given to the ttomey General of the _United States as may be provided by order of the said court, and it shall be the duty of the Attorney General to cause the United States attorney in suc district to appear and defend for the United States: Promkied {ur- Commencement of ther, That said suit shall be brought and commenced within our lm"` months of the date of the passage of this Act.
