D. M., California, in _ order that saidlland may be selected by the Central Pacilic Railway Cen¤¤1P¤<ri¤¤ RM1- Company under the provisions of the Act of Congress approved June §§K,_°°mP°°y °°l°°` twenty-second, eighteen hundred and seventy- our, entitled, "An V°‘- ”·P· 1**- act for the relief o settlers on railroad lands", in partial satisfaction of its relinquishment of a tract of one hundred and sixty acres of its granted lands in Idaho, which has been resided upon and improved under a homestead entry improperly allowed June eighteen, mneteen hundred and fifteen, and by restoring the public lan s sub'ect to disposition in the remaining excluded areas in a manner authorized by the Act of Congress approved September thirtieth, nineteen hundred V°‘·“8·’· m' and thirteen (38 Stat., 113), entitled, "An Act To authorize the President to (plrovide a method for opening lands restored from reservation or with awal, and for other pq]1époses"; Now, therefore, I, WOODRO WILSON, President of the United $;§°3‘g’m";§“‘“‘ States of America, b virtue of the jilower in me vested by the Act of ’p` ` Congress approved Jiime fourth, eig teen hundred and ninety-seven (30 tat., 11 at 34 and 36), entitle , "An Act Making agpropriations for sundry civil expenses of the Government for the fisc year ending June thirtieth, ei teen hundred and ninety-eight, and for other purgoses", do procgaim that the boundaries o the Tahoe National orest are hereby changed to exclude the areas indicated as elinimations upon the iagram hereto annexed and forming a Eart thereof, and that the said E% ofSE% of Sec. 2, T. 16 N.,R. 11 ., M. D. M., California is hereby restored to the aiublic domain. And I do further proclaim and m e known that in my judgement sgggiluggnfggjr it is proper and necessary, in the interest of equal opcportunity and good administration, that the remainder of the exclude lands subject to disposition should be restored to homestead entry in advance of settlement or other forms of disposition, and pursuant to the authority reposed in me by the aforesaid act of September thirtieth, nineteen V°*· 38·P· *13- hundred and thirteen, I do hereby direct and provide that such lands, sub`ect to valid rights and the (provisions of existing withdrawals, _ _ shall be opened to entry only un er the provisions of the homestead T“¤° °‘°P°m¢· laws requiring residence, where subject thereto, at and after, but not before, nine o’clock a. m., standard time, on the sixty-third dagsafter the date of this proclamation, and to settlement and other posi-
