PROCLAMATIONS, 1922. 2279 Y WHEREAS, by a Joint Resolution of the Con ess of the United V°*·¤· P- 1359- States, apiproved by the President on the third of l\grch,one thousand nine hun red_ and twenty-one, it is provided that in the interpretation of any provision relating to the duration or date of the termination of the late war between the Imperial German Government and the Imperial and Royal Austro-Himgarian Government and the Government and people of the United States, in any Acts of Congress contingent upon the date of the termination of such war, the date when such resolution becomes effective should be construed and treated as the date of the termination of the war, and WHEREAS, it is necessary to continue the existence of said Division of Marine and Seamen’s Insurance for the purpose of Enal adjustment of outstanding claims, and WHEREA , by the Act of Congress entitled, "An Act to Establish 4*% P- 1*8- a Veteran’s Bureau" and for other p oses, approved by the President on the ninth of August, one thousaliid) nine hundred and twenty-one, the powers, duties and pprsonnel of the War Risk Insurance Bureau were transferred to the eterans' Bureau, and WHEREAS, by a Joint Resolution of the Congress of the United **"”·P·2°2· States, approved by the President on the twenty-fourth of August, one thousand nine hundred and twenlgv-one, the name of the Veterans’ Bureau was chang%d to the United tates Veterans’ Bureau, and WHEREAS, I, arren G. Harding, President of the United States, ‘”“· *’• m' by proclamation of date the first da? of September in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred an twenty-one and of the Independence of the United States the one hundred and forty-sixth did declare and {proclaim that the Division of Marine and Seamen’s Insurance of the nited States Veterans’ Bureau should continue in existence for the purgose of ma al adjustment of outstanding insurance or claims unti the thirty- t of December, one thousan nine hundred and twenty-one, and . WHEREAS, I, Warren G. NOW THEREFORE, I, Warren G.
