PROCLAMATIONS, 1924. 1963 BY Tun Pansmmwr or rms: UNITED Sryrns or Aunmoa A PROCLAMATION Whereas, it a ears that the public ood will be romoted by g#*¤¤¤*¤ N;**°¤¤' excludin certairlipareas from thepLincol€1 National Flirest, in the F1>r$»ii¤Ii»ield ' State of gNew Mexico, and restoring the public lands subject to disposition therein to entry by ex-service men in advance of the general public in accordance with existing law; Now, therefore, I, CALVIN COOLIDGE, President of the United ·*’°°"“”“”""°"· States of America, by virtue of the power in me vested by the Act "°‘·3°·P·"·°- of Congress approved June fourth, eighteen hundred and ninety- seven (30 Stat., 11 at 34 and 36), entitled, "An Act Makingl ap£ro— priations for sund.i·_y;u-civil expenses of the Government for the cal ear ending June t tieth, eighteen hundred and ninety-eight, and for other 1u·poses", do proclaun that the boundaries of the Lincoln National £`orest are hereby changed to exclude the areas indicated as eliminations upon the diagram hereto annexed and forming a part thereof. And I do further proclaim and make known that pursuant to up-‘§,}°g'“,*},°*;xj,:r*;{*°j Public Resolution No. 29 of February fourteenth nineteen hundred mm erwona warm and twentg (41 Stat., 434), as amended by Public Resolutions °l$:{°,, p_ M, V0, Nos. 36 an 79 approved January twenty-first and December twenty- 42, mask, mw. ' eighth, nineteen nmdred and twently-two, respectively (42 Stat. 358, 1067), it is hereby ordered that the public lands in the excluded areas, sub°ect to valid rights and the provisions of existing withdrawals, shall be opened only to entry under the homestead and desert-land laws by qlualified ex-service men of the war with Germany, under the terms an conditions of said resolutions and the regulations issued thereunder, for a dperiod of 91 days, beginning wit the 63rd day from and after the ate hereof, and thereafter any of said m{§*§,{§,'{*,‘,§f"‘°"’°¤°”‘ lands remaining unentered will be sub'ect to appropriation under any public land law applicable thereto by tlhe genera public.
