The Stipulations of Appendix III of the Sanitary Convention of eo~fum:d. stipulations Venice of January 30, 1892, concerning the composition, powers and duties, and operation of the Sanitary, Maritime, and Quarantine Boaru of Egypt, are confirmed as they appear in the khedival de- crees under date of June 19, 1.893, and December 25, 1894, as well as in the ministerial decision of June 19, 1893. The said decrees and decisions are annexed to the present con- vention. Notwithstanding the provisions of the said decrees and decisions Composition. thtl high contracting parties agree that- I. The following conditions shall be observed: ConditiollS. (1) The Egyptian Government wil! collect sanitary taxes on imported cattle not to exceed those now collected by the Egyptian Sanitary, Maritime and Quarantine Board; (2) The Egyptian Governmer.t undertakes in consequence to pay annually to the Sanitary, Maritime and Quarantine Board a sum representing the average of the excess of receipts over the ex- penditures of the sa.id service during the three budgetary yea.rs preceding the date on which the present Convention is put into force.
