CHAP. 54 1 .-An Act To authorize the city of Salina and the town of Red- [Public, No .394 .] mo nd, St ate of Ut ah, to se cure ad equ ate su ppl ies of wa ter for municipal and domestic purposes through the development of subterranean water on certain public lands within said State . Be it enacted by the Senate and House o f Representatives o f the Utah .

United States o f America in Congress assembled, That to enable the Lands in, withdrawn from entry, etc ., to en- city of Salina and the town of Redmond, State of Utah, to secure able the cities of sau de na and Redmo nd to

adequate supplies of water for municipal and domestic purposes velo p water supp ly. through the development of subterranean sources by wells or other Descript ion . facilities, the southwest quarter and south half southeast quarter section 1 ; east half southeast quarter section 2 ; northeast quarter northeast quarter section 11 ; and all of section 12, township 21 south, range 2 east, Salt Lake meridian ; and the northwest quarter and north half southeast quarter section 7, township 21 south, ran ge 3 eas t, Salt L ake meri dian, ar e, subje ct to any valid e xisting rights initiated under the public land laws, hereby withdrawn from all forms of entry and appropriation under the land laws of the United States, and authority is hereby granted said city and town to conduct drilling operations within the area described and to occupy so much of it as may be necessary for the storage or trans- Tim e 'for comment portation of water derived from such drilling operations : Provided, ing operations .

That the operations hereby authorized shall be commenced within Reversion for non- five years from the date of this Act : Provided further, That the user, lands hereby withdrawn shall be used for the purposes herein indi- cated and if the said lands shall cease to be so used, said lands shall revert to the status occupied prior to the date of this Act .
