Be it enacted, dye, That the Secretary of War be, and he hereby is, directed to place on the pension roll of the United States, the name of Tcbc placed William Scott, of the county of Knox, and state of Tennessee; and that °“l"““‘°“ l"" there be allowed to said Scott the sum of eight dollars per month, during his natural life; to commence on the fourth day of December, in the year one thousand eight hundred and thirty. And be it further enacted, That the Secretary of War be, Allowance to and he hereby is, directed to cause payment to be made to George W. G·W· H°W”d· Howard, an invalid pensioner of the United States, of the difference between the amount of pension at Eve dollars thirty-three and athird cents per month, which he has actually received at the several agencies where it has been paid, and the amount to which he was entitled at eight dollars per month, from the time at which his pension for total disability commenced, to the time at which he was last reported to be totally disabled by the examining physicians, under the "Act regulating Aetof March the payments to invalid pensioners," approved the third of March, one 3» l8l9» ¤b·8l· thousand eight hundred and nineteen. Be it enacted, <§·c., That the Secretary of War be, and he hereby is, directed to issue to Timothy Risley, two land warrants, one for one Land warrants hundred acres, and the other for sixty acres, which are given in satis- 2; *S°“° *° hmh faction of a warrant heretofore granted to Zachariah Sherwood, and by c' him assigned to said Risley, and which was by mistake of the officers of the General Land Office, located on a tract of land previously patented to another individual; and said Risley shall be and is hereby, authorized to surrender said warrants to the Secretary of the Treasury of the United States, and to receive certificates or scrip for the same, at any time before the first day of January, in the year one thousand eight hundred and thirty-three; which certificates or scrip shall be issued and signed by the Secretary of the Treasury, and countersigned by the Commissioner of the General Land Office, and receivable in payment for the public lands, in conformity with the provisions of an act, entitled "An act for the relief of certain officers and soldiers of the Virginia Act of May line and navy, and of the continental army during the revolutionary g?g·l83°·°h· war."
