CHAPTER 451 AN ACT For the relief of Lee Lai Ha.
August 13, 1953 [H. R. 1792]
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled. That, for the purposes of sections 101(a) (27)(A) and 205 of the Immigration and Nationality Act, the minor child, Lee Lai Ha, shall be held and considered to be the natural-born alien child of Mr. Bill Lee, a citizen of the United States. Upon the granting of permanent residence to such alien as provided for in this Act, the Secretary of State shall instruct the proper quota-control officer to deduct one number from the appropriate quota for the first year that such quota is available. AN ACT For the relief of Sachiko Yuda,
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That, in the administration of the Immigration and Nationality Act, Sachiko Yuda, the fiancee of Ralph E. Kline, a citizen of the United States, shall be eligible for a visa as a nonimmigrant temporary visitor for a period of three months: Provided, That the administrative authorities find that the said Sachiko Yuda is coming to the United States with a bona fide intention of being married to the said Ralph E. Kline and that she is found otherwise admissible under the immigration laws. I n the event the marriage between the above-named persons does not occur within three months after the entry of the said Sachiko Yuda, she shall be required to depart from the United States and upon failure to do so shall be deported in accordance with the provisions of sections 242 and 243 of the Immigration and Nationality Act.
