CHAPTER 862

AN ACT For the relief of Joseph Veich, also known as Guiseppe Veic. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United Staten of America in Congress ansembled^ That, for the purposes of the Immigration and Nationality Act, Joseph Veich, also known as Guiseppe Veic, shall be held and considered to have been lawfidly admitted to the United States for permanent residence as of the date of the enactment of this Act, upon payment of the required visa fee. Upon the granting of permanent residence to such alien as provided for in this Act, the Secretary of State shall instruct the proper quota-control officer to deduct one number from the appropriate quota for the first year that such quota is available. Private Law 742 AN ACT For the relief of Olga Abitia.

August 23, 1954 [H. R. 2635]

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That, for the purposes of the Immigration and Nationality Act, Olga Abitia shall be held and considered to have been lawfully admitted to the United States for permanent residence as of the date of the enactment of this Act, upon the payment of the required visa fee. Cairo, Antonietta Impieri, Anna Impieri, Rosina Scarlato, lolanda Gaglianone, Maria Assunta Searanmzzo, Frahceschina Cauterucci, and Filomena Lupinacci. Be it enacted by the Seriate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That, for the purposes of the Immigration and Nationality Act, Sisters Linda Salerno, Luigiana C. Cairo, Antonietta Impieri, Anna Impieri, Rosina Scarlato, lolanda Gaglianone, Maria Assunta Scaramuzzo, Franceschina Cauterucci, and Filomena Lupinacci shall be held and considered to have been lawfully admitted to the United States for permanent residence as of the date of the enactment of this Act, upon payment of the required visa fees. Upon the granting of permanent residence to such aliens as provided for in this Act, the Secretary of State shall instruct the proper quota-control officer to deduct the required numbers from the appropriate quota for the first year that such quota is available.
