CHAPTER 279 AN ACT For the relief of Alwine Reichenbauch.
June 10, 1954 [H. R. 1348]
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That, for the purposes of the immigration and naturalization laws, Alwine Reichenbauch shall be held and considered to have been lawfully admitted to the United States for permanent re^dence as of the date of the enactment of this Act, upon payment of the required visa fee. Upon the granting of permanent residence to such alien as provided for in this Act, the Secretary of State shall instruct the proper quota-control officer to deduct one number from the appropriate quota for the first year that such quota is available. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That the Secretary of the Treasury be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to pay, out of any money in the Treasury not otherwise appropriated, the siim of $500 to Sahag Vartanian, of Racine, Wisconsin, in full settlement of all claims against the United States as a refund for a security bond posted for Perous Mary Derderian (nee Donaldson) which was declared forfeited April 18, 1949: Provided, That no part of the amount appropriated in this Act in excess of 10 per centum thereof shall be paid or delivered to or received by any agent or attorney on account of services rendered in connection with this claim, and the same shall be unlawful, any contract to the contrary notwithstanding. Any person violating the provisions of this Act shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and upon conviction thereof shall be fined in any sum not exceeding $1,000. Approved June 10, 1954.

AN ACT For the relief of Pravomil Vaclav Maly and Jarmila Maly. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That, for the purposes of the immigration and naturalization laws, the aliens Pravomil Vaclav Maly and Jarmila Maly shall be held and considered to have been lawfully admitted to the United States for permanent residence as of the date of the enactment of this Act, upon payment of the required visa fees.
