For necessary expenses to enable the National Capital Planning Commission and the National Capital Regional Planning Council to jointly conduct a survey of the present and future mass transportation needs of the National Capital region as defined in the National Capital Planning Act of 1952 (66 Stat. 781), and to report their | findings and recommendations to the President, including transportation expenses and not to exceed $15 per diem in lieu of subsistence, as authorized by section 5 of the Act of August 2, 1946 (5 U.S.C. 73b-2), so Stat. sos. for members of the Commission and Council serving without compensation, $200,000, to be immediately available and to remain available u n t i l June SO, 1956. 54402 O - 55 - 3
