SEC. 1402. Except where specifically increased or decreased elsewhere in this Act, the restrictions contained within appropriations, or provisions affecting appropriations or other funds, available during the fiscal year 1956, limiting the amounts which may be expended for personal services, or for purposes involving personal services, or amounts which may be transferred between appropriations or authorizations available for or involving such services, are hereby increased to the extent necessary to meet increased pay costs authorized by the Act of June 10, 1955 (Public Law 68), the Act of June 28, 1955 (Public Law 94), the Act of August 5, 1955 (Public Law 242), the Act of August 5, 1955 (Public Law 243), and the Act of August 5, 1955 (Public Law 244). AN ACT To amend title II of the Act of August 30, 1954, entitled "An Act to authorize and direct the construction of bridges over the Potomac River, and for other purposes".

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the brid*"** ^*'*"* United States of America in Congress assembled, That section 201 of p<Swn«c River, title II of the Act of August 30, 1954, entitled "An Act to authorize and direct the construction of bridges over the Potomac River, and for other purposes" (68 Stat. 963), is hereby amended to read as follows: con.t*ucUoiu "SEC. 201.
