(147) Chapter 601 is amended— 69\o." ^ ^ ^^°'(A) by amending section 6912 to read as follows: "§ 6912. Aviation cadets: benefits "Except as provided in section 251(a) of title 37, aviation cadets or 3? use 251. their beneficiaries are entitled to the same allowances, pensions, gratuities, and other benefits as are provided for enlisted members in pay grade E-i. While on active duty, an aviation cadet is entitled to uniforms, clothing, and equipment at the expense of the United States."; and (B) by striking out the following item in the analysis: "G912. A\iation cadets: pay and allowances."
and inserting the following item in place thereof: "6912. Aviation cadets: benefits."
(148) Section 7043 is amended to read as follows: 10 USC 7043. "§ 7043. Academic Dean " (a) There is at the Naval Postgraduate School the civilian position of Academic Dean. The Academic Dean shall be appointed, to serve for periods of not more than five years, by the Secretary of the Navy upon the recommendation of the Postgraduate School Council consisting of the Superintendent, the Deputy Superintendent, and the directors of the Technical, Administrative, and Professional Divisions of the school. " (b) The Academic Dean is entitled to such compensation for his services as the Secretary prescribes, but not more than $13,500 a year. (149) Section 7081 is amended by adding the following new sub- 10 USC 7081. section at the end thereof: "(c) This chapter does not apply to any person who was a civilian member after September 30, 1956." (150) The analysis of chapter 631 is amended by striking out the ^^29 " ® ^ ^°^' following item: "7206. Minor construction and extension of structures,"
(151) The analysis of chapter 643 is amended by striking out the ^^y^^ u s e 7471following item: "7471. Appointments: professional and scientific services."
(152) Section 8012(g) is amended by striking out the figure 10 USC 8012. "$18,000" and inserting the figure "$22,000" in place thereof. (153) Section 8013(b) is amended to read as follows: 10 USC so 13. "(b) The compensation of the Under Secretary and of each of the four Assistant Secretaries is $20,000 a year." "The compensation of the General Counsel of the Department of the Air Force is $19,000 a year."; and (B) by adding the following new item at the end of the analysis: "8018. Compensation of General Counsel." (155) Chapter 649 is amended by striking out the following item 10 USC 7571in the analysis: '^* "7578. Tableware and kitchen utensils: limitations on furnishing." (156) The following sections are amended by striking out the words "female" and "women" wherever they appear therein: 8067 (e) and 10 USC 8O67.
