in the Treasury not otherwise appropriated, to Master Sergeant Emery C. Jones, of Augusta, Maine, the sum of $1,436.40, in full settlement of all claims against the United States based on his expenditure of a like sum on behalf of the United States as payment of a claim for personal injuries of Aliborg Kalantaree, arising out of an accident which occurred in Shiraz, Iran, on May 16, 1958, involving a United States Army vehicle: Provided, That no part of the amount appropriated in this Act shall be paid or delivered to or received by any agent or attorney on account of services rendered in connection with this claim and the same shall be unlawful, any contract to the contrary notwithstanding. Any person violating the provisions of this Act shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and upon conviction thereof shall be fined in any sum not exceeding $1,000. Approved July 5, 1960.

Private Law 86-391 AN ACT To validate certain mining claims in California.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That (a) the mining claims described in subsection (b) which were located by William L. Eoss on March 7, 1947, and July 7, 1947, are hereby declared to have been valid as of March 7, 1947, and July 7, 1947, respectively, notwithstanding the first form reclamation withdrawal of October 19, 1920, covering the land embraced in these claims: Provided, That, before patent may be issued for the land embraced in these claims, there must be compliance with the United States mining laws and regulations applicable thereto, including payment of the purchase price at the rate of $2.50 per acre. (b) The mining claims validated by the provisions of subsection (a) of this Act are Gem Canyon Numbered 1, further described as the east half southeast quarter northeast quarter; Gem Canyon Numbered 2, further described as the west half southeast quarter northeast quarter; Gem Canyon Numbered 5, further described as the east half northwest quarter northeast quarter; and Margie, further described as the north half southwest quarter northeast quarter; all of which lie in section 2, township 5 south, range 7 east, San Bernardino meridian, California. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of AmeHca in Congress assembled, That, for the purposes of section 202 of the Social Security Act, Mrs. Ethel B. Morgan of 253 East Market Stre^et, Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, shall be held and considered to have been the wdfe and subsequently the widow (as those terms are defined in section 216 of that Act) of Elias Robons Morgan (social security account numbered 171-22-8815).
