SMALL RECLAMATION PROJECTS
SEC. 31. The Small Reclamation Projects Act of 1956 (70 Stat. 1044), as heretofore and hereafter amended, shall apply to the State of Hawaii.

SEC. 35. (a) Subsection (a) of section 505 of the Merchant Marine Act, 1936, as amended, is further amended by adding at the end thereof the following new sentence: "For the purposes of this subsection, the term 'continental limits of the United States' includes the States of Alaska and Hawaii." (b) Section 606 of such Act, as amended, is further amended by adding at the end thereof the following new sentence: "For the purposes of this section, the term 'continental limits of the United States' includes the States of Alaska and Hawaii." (c) Section 702 of such Act, as amended, is further amended by adding at the end thereof the following new sentence: "For the purposes of this section, the term 'continental United States' includes the States of Alaska and Hawaii."

COMMUNICATIONS ACT
SEC. 36. Section 222(a) (10) of the Communications Act of 1934 is amended by striking out the words "the several States and the District of Columbia" and inserting in lieu thereof the words "the District of Columbia and the States of the Union, except Hawaii".
