Private Law 87-603 AN ACT For the relief of Carmelo Rafala.

Be it enacted by the SeTiate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That, notwithstanding the provisions of sections 212(a)(9) and (10) of the Immigration and Nationality Act, Carmelo Rafala may be issued a visa and be admitted to the United States for permanent residence if otherwise admissible under the provisions of that Act: Provided, That the exemptions granted herein shall apply only to grounds for exclusion of which the Department of State and the Department of Justice have knowledge prior to the enactment of this Act. AN ACT For the relief of Sumiko Takahashi.

October 10, 1962 [S. 2902]

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives a/ the United States of America in Congress assembled. That, in the admin- Sumiko istration of the Immigration and Nationality Act, Sumiko Takahashi, Takahashi. the fiancee of Specialist Sixth Class James R. Mitchell, a citizen of the g use 1101' United States, shall be eligible for a visa as a nonimmigrant temporary note. visitor for a period of three months: Provided, That the administrative authorities find that the said Sumiko Takahashi is coming to the United States with a bona fide intention of being married to the said Specialist Sixth Class James R. Mitchell and that she is found otherwise admissible under the immigration laws. In the event the marriage between the above-named persons does not occur within three months after the entry of the said Sumiko Takahashi, she shall be required to depart from the United States and upon failure to do so shall be deported in accordance with the provisions of sections 242 and 243 of the Immigration and Nationality Act. In the event that 8 USC 1252, the marriage between the above-named persons shall occur within 1253. three months after the entry of the said Sumiko Takahashi, the Attorney General is authorized and directed to record the lawful admission for permanent residence of the said Sumiko Takahashi as of the date of the payment by her of the required visa fee.
