(4) expenses authorized by the Foreign Service Act of 1946, as amended (22 U.S.C.SOl et seq.), not otherwise provided for; (5) expenses authorized by the Act of August 1, 1956 (70 Stat. 890-892), as amended; and (6) all other expenses determined by the President to be necessary to carry out the purposes of this Act. (b) Except as may be expressly provided to the contrary in this Act, all determinations, authorizations, regulations, orders, contracts, agreements and other actions issued, undertaken, or entered into under authority of any provision of law repealed by this Act shall continue in full force and effect until modified, revoked, or superseded under the authority of this Act. SEC. 6. Subsections (a), (c) and (d) of section 405 of the Miitnal Security Act of 1954, as amended, subsection (c) of section 451 of the said Act, and the last sentence of section 2(a) of the Act of July 14, 1960 (74 Stat. 504), are hereby repealed. SEC. 7. Until the enactment of legislation appropriating funds for activities under this Act, such activities may be conducted with funds made available under section 451(a) of the Foreign Assistance Act of 1961, as amended. AN ACT To further amend the Act of August 7, 1946 (60 Stat. 896), as amended, by providing for an increase in the authorization funds to be granted for the construction of hospital facilities in the District of Columbia; by extending the time in which grants may be made; and for other purposes.

Be it enacted iy the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That section 6 of the Act of August 7, 1946 (60 Stat. 896), as amended, is amended (1), by striking out "$40,730,000" and inserting in lieu thereof "$41,105,000" and (2) by striking out "June 30, 1962" and inserting in lieu thereof "on the last day of the second session of the Eighty-seventh Congress". Debt limit, temporary Increase. Ante, p. 23.

AN ACT To provide for a temporary increase in the public debt limit set forth in, section 21 of the Second Liberty Bond Act.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That the public debt limit set forth in the first sentence of section 21 of the Second Liberty Bond Act, as amended (31 U.S.C. 757b), shall be temporarily increased— (1) during the period beginning on July 1, 1962, and ending on March 31, 1963, to $308,000,000,000, (2) during the period beginning on April 1, 1963, and ending on June 24, 1963, to $305,000,000,000, and (3) during the period beginning on June 25, 1963, and ending on June 30, 1963, to $300,000,000,000.
