Subpart K. - Other Base Metals Subpart K headnotes: 1. This subpart covers base metals not provided for i subparts 8 through J of this part, and their n alloys, wrought and unwrought, and also includes the waste and.scrap of such base metals. This subpart does not cover ferrocerium and other pyrophoric alloys (see part 9A of schedule 7). 2. Alloys: For the ourposes of the tariff schedules, alloys of each of the base metals provided for i this subpart are metals i which the n n content of the respective base metal is, by weight, less than 99.C percent, but not less than any other metallic element. In the absence of context which requires otherwise, a reference to one of the base metals by name, wherever used i the tariff schedn ules, includes alloys of such base metal.
