for the southern district of California who are in office on the effective date of this section, and who shall be during the remainder of their present terms of office the United States attorney and marshal for the central district of California. (f) The President shall appoint, by and with the advice and consent of the Senate, a United States attorney and a United States marshal for the southern district of California. (g) The President shall appoint, by and with the advice and consent of the Senate, a United States attorney and a United States marshal for the eastern district of California. (h) The President shall appoint, by and with the advice and consent of the Senate, three additional district judges for the central district of California, and two additional district judges for the northern district of California. (i) The provisions of this section shall become effective six months after the date of enactment of this Act. SEC. 4. In order that the table contained in section 133 of title 28, of the United States Code will reflect the changes made by sections 2 and 3 of this Act in the number of permanent judgeships for certain districts, such table is amended to read as follows with respect to said districts: "Districts
