HIGHWAY-RELATED SAFETY GRANTS (LIQUIDATIOX OF CONTRACT AUTHORIZATION)
For payment of obligations incurred in carrying out the provisions of title 23, United States Code, section 402, administered by the Federal g/^ta'^^i/Zo^.' Highway Administration, to remain available until expended, $12,000,000, of which $8,000,000 shall be derived from the Highway Trust F u n d: Provided, That not to exceed $393,000 of the amount appropriated herein may be transferred to the appropriation "Salaries and expenses". For necessary expenses for construction of the Darien Gap Highway in accordance with the provisions of section 216 of title 23 of the United States Code, including the purchase of not to exceed two passenger motor vehicles $15,000,000, to remain available until expended.
