Public Law 95-491 95th Congress An Act To authorize the permanent establishment of a system of Federal information centers.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled. That this Act may be cited as the "Federal Information Centers Act". SEC. 2. (a) Title I of the Federal Property and Administrative Services Act of 1949 is amended by adding at the end thereof the following new section: IIFEDERAL INFORMATION

"SEC. 112. (a) The Administrator is authorized to establish within Establishment, the General Services Administration a nationwide network of Federal 40 USC 760. information centers for the purpose of providing the public with information about the programs and procedures of the Federal Government and for other appropriate and related purposes. "(b) The Administrator is authorized to prescribe such rules and Rules and regulations as may be necessary to the functioning of the Federal regulations. information centers. (b)(1) The table of contents of the Federal Property and Administrative Services Act of 1949 is amended by inserting immediately after the item pertaining to section 109 the following new items: "Sec. 110. Federal telecommunications fund. "Sec. 111. Automatic data processing equipment. "Sec. 112. Federal information centers.".

(2) Title I of the Federal Property and Administrative Services Act is further amended by inserting immediately before section 110 40 USC 757. the following heading: a FEDERAL TELECOMMUNICATION F U N D '
