7 USC 1372.

To amend the Agricultural Adjustment Act of 1938, as amended, to exempt State prison farms from paying of marketing quota penalties.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That, section 372(d) of the Agricultural Adjustment Act of 1938, as amended, is further amended to add a new sentence as follows: "Effective with the 1978 crops, no penalty shall be collected under this Act with respect to the marketing of any agricultural commodity grown on State prison farms for consumption within such State prison system.". Approved November 16, 1979.
