Public Law 99-108 99th Congress An Act To amend title 38, United States Code, to provide interim extensions of the authority of the Veterans' Administration to operate a regional office in the Republic of the Philippines, to contract for hospital care and outpatient services in Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands, and to contract for treatment and rehabilitation services for alcohol and drug dependence and abuse disabilities; and to amend the Emergency Veterans' Job Training Act of 1983 to extend the period for entering into training under such Act.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled. That section 230(b) of title 38, United States Code, is amended by striking out "September 30, 1985" and inserting in lieu thereof "October 31, 1985". SEC. 2. Section 601(4)(C)(v) of title 38, United States Code, is 98 Stat. 2688. amended by striking out "September 30, 1985" and inserting in lieu thereof "October 31, 1985". SEC. 3. Section 620A(e) of title 38, United States Code, is amended by striking out "the last day" and all that follows through "initiated" and inserting in lieu thereof "October 31, 1985". SEC. 4. Section 17(2) of the Emergency Veterans' Job Training Act of 1983 (Public Law 98-77; 29 U.S.C. 1721 note) is amended by striking out "September 1, 1985" and inserting in lieu thereof "July 1, 1986". Approved September 30, 1985.
