Health Research Extension Act of 1985. Research and development. 42 USC 201 note.

An Act

To amend the Public Health Service Act to revise and extend the authorities under that Act relating to the National Institutes of Health and National Research Institutes, and for other purposes.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, SECTION 1, SHORT TITLE; REFERENCE TO ACT; AND TABLE OF CONTENTS.

(a) SHORT TITLE.—This Act may be cited as the "Health Research Extension Act of 1985". (b) REFERENCE TO ACT.—Except as otherwise specifically provided, whenever in this Act an amendment or repeal is expressed in terms of an amendment to, or repeal of, a section or other provision, the reference shall be considered to be a reference to a section or other provision of the Public Health Service Act.
