A HISTORY OF WORCESTERSHIRE made in the lower parts of the Severn and Avon valleys. Bredon did the w^ork for which it was designed and turned the invaders from the lower Avon valley across the county. It is however impossible to do more than conjecture until a thorough examination has been made, and it is seen whether or not there is anything to be taken into account which will tend to modify the story that on the existing evidence is told by the forts, of the early county history.
