⟨li⟩ps for this end, that thou may accompliſh the com⟨m⟩iſſion I have delivered unto thee; declare thou to this ⟨g⟩eneration, That they ſhall look to the ſouth, and ſee ⟨t⟩he Spaniſh army great and very cruel; for they ſhall ⟨do⟩ according to that ſcripture, Amos v. The city that ⟨go⟩es out by a thouſand ſhall leave a hundred, and the city that ⟨go⟩es out ⟨b⟩y a hundred ſhall leave ten to the houſe of Iſrael, ⟨w⟩ith the Lord; yet notwithſtanding, I will cauſe my ⟨re⟩mnant in this land to bathe their ſwords in the blood ⟨of⟩ Antichriſt. I ſaw in a viſion, that Chriſt’s church ⟨m⟩uſt go into the furnace, and there be purged, for he ⟨w⟩ill have a pure church, or no church at all, for he will ⟨ha⟩ve his church purged from all the defiling errors and ⟨ſu⟩perſtitous hereſies which he hath been often brought ⟨u⟩nder by Antichriſtian prelates, for he will have his church ⟨an⟩d ſpouſe a chaſte bride unto him. Then I ſaw a man ⟨c⟩oming unto me with a crown in his hand, who ſaid, This is the crown which Chriſt’s church ſhould receive ⟨on⟩ the day of her eſpouſals unto him, becauſe Antichriſt ⟨h⟩ath enlarged hell with the ſouls of thoſe whom he hath ⟨d⟩rawn away with his ſuperſtitious idolatry, I will take ⟨u⟩nto me my great power and reign, and throw him into ⟨th⟩e lake of fire, which burneth with fire and brimſtone.
35. March 21. I ſaw a man paſſing by me, who aſked What I ſaw in his hand? I ſaid a crown. Immediately ⟨h⟩e returned the ſame way, and I ſaw ſomething in his o⟨th⟩er hand, but could not underſtand what it was, where⟨up⟩on he anſwered, You have an old tradition in your native ⟨la⟩nd, That the righteous heir to the crown, is commonly ⟨k⟩nown by the ſtar on his ſide, ſo this in my hand is the ſtar ⟨t⟩hereby I am known to be Heir of my Father’s crown. There is an antichriſtian party, who deſign to rob my Fa⟨th⟩er of his kingdom in this land, and I am my Father’s on⟨ly⟩ Son, the Son of his love, and who hath holden forth to ⟨th⟩e world; and who is more obliged to ſtand for the in⟨te⟩reſt than the Heir? They have defamed my ſpouſe and ⟨br⟩ide, by calling her a menſtruous woman with whom ⟨n⟩one may converſe, and who is obliged to own the bride, ⟨bu⟩t the bridegroom? As I live, I will ride my horſe to the ⟨gi⟩rths in the blood of Antichriſt. For as great as their ⟨ar⟩my is, which is combining among the Antichriſtian par-
