land. Walterus holds it of Edward. And he has alſo 1 ploughland with 2 cottagers, and 1 acre of meadow, and 6 acres of paſture. It is valued at 20 ſhillings. Alwius held it T. R. E. whoſe wiſe alſo holds there half a hide of the King.

9. The ſame Edward holds Wintreburne, Alric held it T.R.E. and it was aſſeſſed at 13 hides and 3 yardlands. Here are 7 ploughlands. Seven of the hides are in demeſne, where are 4 ploughlands and 7 ſervants. Twelve villagers and 5 borderers occupy 3 ploughlands. Here are 10, acres of meadow. The paſture is a mile and a half long, and 3 quarters of a mile broad. It was valued at 6 pounds; now at 10.

10. The ſame Edward holds Orceſtone, and Hugo of him. Godericus held it T. R. E, and it was aſſeſſed at 4 hides and a half. Here are 2 ploughlands. One ploughland is in demeſne, and 4 borderers with 4 ſervants
