lands, with 25 ſervants and 15 coliberts. Seventy-three villagers and 38 cottagers occupy 26 ploughlands. Here are 4 mills of the value of 16 ſhillings and eight pence. The meadow is a mile and a half long, and 5 furlongs broad. The paſture is a mile and a half long, and 3 quarters broad. The wood is 3 miles in length, and 3 quarters of a mile in breadth. Six burgeſſes in Crichelade belong to this manor, and pay 64 pence. This manor pays 70 pounds by weight, but it is only valued by the Engliſh at 60 pounds by tale. Two hides belong to the church of this manor, and conſiſt of 2 ploughlands. The prieſt of the church holds them, and they are worth 40 ſhillings.

II. The King holds Coſſeham. The Earl Toſti held it T.R.E. Here are 34 hides, but it was only aſſeſed at 18 hides. Here are 50 ploughlands. Eleven of theſe hides are in demeſne, wherein are 7 ploughlands and

ſervants.
