WOLFF, Maude (Miss), a native of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, daughter of Matthias and Elizabeth Sprague Wolff, a resident of California for fourteen years. General Secretary, Y. W. C. A. Began Y. W. C. A. Industrial Extension Work in Milwaukee, Wis., in 1895. Was active in many lines of social work in that state, especially making surveys and doing constructive work for improvement of conditions among women employed in various industries. Gave years to study on housing for employed girls. "Blue Triangle Court" at Fresno is an ideal community home and embodies her ideas and ideals. WOLVERTON, Sarah Foss, (Miss), born in Twin Lakes, Colorado, daughter of Eugene Townsend and Rebecca Copeland Wolverton, a resident of California for 15 years. Educator. Vice-principal, L. A. High School. A. B. and A. M., Colorado College; A. M., Radcliffe College; graduate student of University of California. Taught formerly at Colorado State Teacher's College and at Stanford University. WONG, Anna May (Miss), born in Los Angeles, California, a life-long resident of the state. Motion picture actress. Graduated from Central Junior High School, continued her education under private tutor. Most notable productions are “The Thief of Bagdad,” “Bits of Life,” “Drifting,” “Forty Winks,” “Peter Pan,” “Mr. Wu” and many others. Now starring in first production, “Schumtzies Geld” for British International Films. Home: 241 N. Figueroa St., Los Angeles, Calif.

WOOD, Bessie J. (Mrs. A. E. Gustason), born in Vacaville, Calif., February 9, 1877, daughter of Reverend Isaac D. and Fannie Ann Wood, a resident of Oakland for thirty-one years. Married to Arthur E. Gustason. Head of her own undertaking establishment. Member of National Selected Morticians. The first woman in the United States to organize an undertaking establishment, conducted by a woman; a matter of Associated Press news and causing enough comment to make undertaking establishments of dignified standing place women in their employ to care for women and children. For seven years, secretary of California State Board of Embalmers. One of two women serving on Major Traffic Highway Committee. Received many national honors for her contributions to the profession. WOODBRIDGE, Cora M. (Mrs.), born in Franklin, Sacramento County, California, September 30, 1862, daughter of Dowty and Amanda Hall Utter, a resident of Roseville for twenty years. Married to Dr. Bradford Woodbridge. Children: Anna Rebecca (Mrs. L. F. Young). For three terms, member of State Legislature, representative, 9th Assembly District, Author of Federation Narcotic Bill, 1927. For seven years, a member of the State Board of the California Fed. of Women's Clubs. Member of Farm Bureau. Ex-secretary, Tuberculosis Ass'n. WOOD-COMSTOCK, Belle (Mrs.), M. D., born November 20, 1880, in Fargo, Wis., daughter of William and Mattie Whipple-Wood, a resident of California for twenty years. Married to Dr. Daniel Delos Comstock, professor of Medical Science, College of Medical Evangelists. Children: Delos, Pierson, Patty Jane. Physician. For seven years head woman physician at Glendale Sanitarium and Hospital. Private practice in Pasadena and Los Angeles for twelve years. Specialty: Diseases of Nutrition. Author: “The Home Dietitian”, “The Human Body and how to keep it in Health”. For many years writer and lecturer on health topics. Now preparing a book on “The Baby”. Chairman Public Health, L. A.
