The references for this section (beginning here, p. 9 of the PDF, and continuing through p. 26 of the PDF) are not formatted with "<ref>" tags (as described here: https://en.wikisource.org/wiki/Help:Footnotes_and_endnotes).

I'm new to proofreading Wikisource texts, so I'm hesitant to change this. Can someone provide input on whether the references are OK as they are, or if they should be changed to use the "<ref>" tags? Thank you!

Also, braces are visible at the top and bottom of the page, but I'm not sure why.
