When the glow goes toward center
and disappears in the dark of a coal
smoke
transcends the darkness the final guest
through a closed door of light
mesmeric wisp
leaving its shape to mark another grave
without tools without
a name
in memory the boundless cemetery of time
to enter another life

the bones in the bordered space of
wood light the thought
disappears
in the dark of a coal
in a fireplace
the shape of bricks on fire
disappear
in the dark of a coal.
