OUR MILESTONES
How swiftly they are passing!
These years of mortal life;
Each full to overflowing
Of storm, of stress, of strife.

Of sorrows soothed, of duties done,
Some stones may records be,
Whilst others mark a road unknown,
With windings none can see.

Yet this we know, and bravely tread,
As God appoints each mile,
That, always looking up, reveals
A Father's tender smile.
