John Wahl, 45, Tree Expert, Dies Suddenly. Westchester County Tree Protective Association Is Organized. John Wahl of Rye has been elected vice president of the Westchester County Tree Protective Association, a new organization formed to encourage research and bring about adequate protection of shade tree by mutual county by correct methods and to improve the methods of shade tree care by mutual cooperation among the members of this association. Norman Armstrong of White Plains has been chosen president. H. Palmar Sterner of Scarsdale secretary and treasurer. The association aims to promote fair business practice in the field of commercial tree care. Regular membership in the association will be open to those engaged in commercial shade tree care and in executive or supervisory capacities in such work who operate Westchester County and also to persons interested in shade tree welfare not eligible to regular membership who all shall be known as associate members. There will be meetings at intervals during the year at which time technical problems relating to the professional will be discussed. It is planned to bring to the meetings leaders of this and allied professions to address members on matters of interest to those engaged in the treatment and care of trees.
