Hyperborean languages

This portal brings together the languages of the Siberian and North American Arctic. It comprises members of the Paleosiberian, Chukotko-Kamchatkan, Nivkh, Yeniseian, and Yukaghir language families of Siberia, and the Eskimo-Aleut language family of North America, which includes Inuit, Yupik, and Greenlandic. Corresponds to Library of Congress catalog numbers PM1 through PM94.

"Hyperborean" is the term used in the original Library of Congress Classification system and means "extreme northern."
