The history of civilization covers civilization with respect to geography, technology, war and other topics; as well as its origins and forecasts for its future.
Archaeology is the study of human society. Primarily through the recovery and analysis of the material evidence they have left behind.
Diplomatics is study and textual analysis of documents; particularly, but not limited to, historical documents.
Archives are collections of historical records, containing primary source documents that have been accumulated within the collection.
Seals are impressions made in a medium such as wax, intended to authenticate a document.
