BY AMBASSADOR DESIGNATE OF PANAMA
ROBERTO R. ALEMAN

THE WHITE HOUSE

FEBRUARY 21, 1969

PRESIDENT'S SCENARIO:


At 10:00 a. m. you will be escorted to the Fish Room and stand with your back to the South Wall The Chief of Protocol will be positioned to your left.

Ambassador Designate, Roberto R. Aleman of Panama, will then arrive at the Fish Room accompanied by Acting Assistant Secretary of State, Viron P. Vaky. The Chief of Protocol will announce the Ambassador.

You will shake hands with the Ambassador and exchange informal greetings while pictures are being taken. The Ambassador will then hand you· the Letter of Recall, the credentials and written remarks. Upon accepting these you will pass them to the Chief of Protocol, who in turn will hand you your written reply. You will present this to the Ambassador.

You, the Ambassador, Mr. Mosbacher and Mr. Vaky will then be escorted to your office for a brief informal discussion.

It is estimated your participation will take approximately 10 minutes.


NOTE:
There will be photo coverage of the presentation of credentials. No formal remarks are required.
