Paragraph 2 . Virginity.

[edit]

All that has been said on the possibility, the advantages, and the excellence of celibacy, is applicable to the state of virginity. We shall not here go over that ground again. However, we shall speak a little of virginity, so as not to appear to mention, only in a passing way, what is, according to St. Ambrose, a leading virtue.[1]
