Prologue[edit]

Perhaps it ought to be noted that this Bill was never passed! It may not be obvious to people that a Bill is an Act which hasn't been passed; conversely an Act is a Bill which has been passed.

Constitutional Documents?[edit]

I don't think that Wikisource:Constitutional documents is the right place for this. It is only a failed billwhich has had no constitutional bearing on the UK at all. Putting it there might easily confuse folk. I would suggest that it be listed on Tony Benn's author page but removed from the constitutional documents list. Finished Version?[edit]

When will this article be complete? Where can I find a completed version of the bill? unsigned comment by 213.121.200.9 (talk) 18:19, 15 November 2007.

This says "And the same was read the First time ; and ordered to be read a Second time on Friday 28 June and to be printed. [Bill 161.]" - but as far as I can tell it was never read a second time, so maybe it was never printed. John Vandenberg 03:17, 16 November 2007 (UTC)Reply

The TSO has it printed: http://www.tsoshop.co.uk/Kaihsu 11:54, 29 February 2008 (UTC)Reply

I now have a paper copy of the 1996 Bill, printed by the Stationery Office. – Kaihsu 12:09, 5 March 2008 (UTC)Reply
