Incorrect Quotation

I suggest that the closing quotation mark be moved from the end of the sentence (...attain") to replacing the semicolon (...our fathers"...). Here is the quote as it now is:

... namely, "the hope of the promise made of God unto our fathers; as he had previously explained before Festus
and Agrippa—unto which our Twelve Tribes, earnestly serving God night and day, hope to attain " (Acts xxviii. 17-20; xxvi. 6, 7).

and how it perhaps should be:

... namely, "the hope of the promise made of God unto our fathers" as he had previously explained before Festus
and Agrippa—unto which our Twelve Tribes, earnestly serving God night and day, hope to attain (Acts xxviii. 17-20; xxvi. 6, 7).

Agreed: There appears to have been a quotation error in the source text. After comparison with Acts 26:6 (KJV) I have moved the closing quote to the location you suggest. The electronic version of the KJV I used for comparison was http://ebible.org/kjv/ —Wikijeff 20:50, 8 May 2007 (UTC)

Yep, it looks like a misprint, and should be something like:

namely, "the hope of the promise made of God unto our fathers;"—as he had previously explained before Festus and Agrippa—"unto which our Twelve Tribes, earnestly serving God night and day, hope to attain" (Acts xxviii. 17–20; xxvi. 6, 7).

That said, I've kept to the text as it's printed to try to follow current guidelines, but a derivative that includes corrections could incorporate this. For what it's worth, it looks like he's using a modified American Standard Version (missing out the word "promise" which it seems isn't present in the original Greek). --xensyria^T 00:40, 17 October 2013 (UTC)
