An Example of Mr. Sherlock Holmes faulty reasoning and conclusions was on the second page when Mr. Holmes stated, "That the man was highly intellectual is of course obvious upon the face of it" then later he said, "it is a question of cubic capacity, a man with such a large brain must have something in it." Mr. Holmes is saying that because the hat was a big hat then the guy must be smart. This may have been true but there is no evidence behind his conclusion. This evidence could not be taken to court because there is no proof that the size of a humans head relates to how smart that being is.
