Template:Section
From Wikisource
Usage [edit]
{{section|name|text}}
{{section|name}}
Creates a section anchor which can be linked to (the browser will move down to that section) with [[#name]] (same page) or [[page title#name]] (different page).
Notes [edit]
- Certain characters, particularly spaces, will break the anchor name. Numbers, letters, hyphens, and underscores are universally accepted, so names should probably be restricted to these.
- Anchor names shouldn't depend on the name of the section, or on anything that may change in the future. The section numbers are safe to use, as they won't change if the work is edited. For example, "2a-a" is good, but "Section_2a-subsection_b" is bad because "Section" and "subsection" may be renamed by a future user using a different source.
