The Collected Works of Mahatma Gandhi
by Mohandas K. Gandhi
The complete collection comprises 100 volumes, more than 50,000 pages of text. Numbers 91-97 were published as Supplementary Volumes while Volumes 98-100 were indices. A first edition was published between in 1960 and 1994 by Publications Division, Ministry of Information & Broadcasting, Government of India. A second edition was published from 1998. This second edition sparked a deep controversy.

The divisions between volumes were changed to coincide with months.

At least the 20th first volumes are in the public domain in the USA. The totality of Gandhi works will be in the public domain in India on December 31st, 2008.
