| The complete collection comprises 100 volumes, more than 50,000 pages of text. Numbers 91-97 were published as Supplementary Volumes while Volumes 98-100 were indexes. A first edition was published between in 1960 and 1994 by Publications Division, Ministry of Information & Broadcasting, Government of India. A second edition was published from 1998. This second edition sparked a deep controversy.
The divisions between volumes were changed to coincide with months. At least the 20 first volumes are in the public domain in the USA. |
