ALBANY, Ore., city and county-seat of Linn County, on the Southern Pacific and the Cowaili & E. railroads, and the Willamette River, about 25 miles south by west from Salem. The city has good water-power from the Willamette River, and has large manufacturing interests. It ships both grain and flour. Pop. (1916) 8,000.
