Sir Harold Brakspear
Sir Harold Brakspear, the famous architect, who restored St. George's Chapel, Windsor, died in a Bath nursing home during the night, aged 64. He had been ill for a month.
Sir Harold, who was made a K.C.V.O. in 1931, also restored Battle Abbey after a fire several years ago.
Besides being an architect to the Dean and Canons of Windsor, he was consulting architect to the Dean and Canon of Worcester.
