Galtrey, Albert Sidney; b. Scarborough 1878; Commenced life as a journalist and was successively on the Staff of the Leeds Daily News and Leeds Mercury; editor of the Indian Sporting Times, Bombay, 1901; was connected with the Times of India; became intimately associated with racing and polo in India; was a member of the Bombay Light Horse Corps; left for England where he became assist. editor and dramatic critic of The Sportsman, 1905; now special sporting correspondent of the Daily Telegraph; contributor to Fry’s Magazine, The Tatler, etc. is a well-known authority on polo.
